Asking For Information and Details
- April 07, 2022
Surely we have dine the inquiries and details. And we ever ask anyone for anything or even provide information to anyone else. The expression asking for information according to its meaning is used to ask for information. The use of asking information is used when we want to ask questions and ask for information can be started with interrogative sentences using what, when, where, why, who, and how. We can also use modal auxiliaries, such as: can, could, would, will, shall, may, must, and had to. And here's an examples of an expression asking for information we can use:
- Can anyone tell me what happen?
- Could you find out where...?
- Would you happen to know...?
- Would you mind to tell me about...?
- Would you like...?
- Will you...?
- Shall we watch this...?
- Shall I bring you some flowers to get you more better?
- I wonder if you could tell me why...?
- I wonder if you could tell me about...?
Asking for information will definitely be answered by providing that information. How do we answer it? We can immediately answer by providing the information asked. Yeah, we can also answer with the following examples of expressions to provide information:
- I'd be happy to answer that
- I should be able to answer your question.
- It'd be a pleasure to help you.
Then, in the English lesson, there are six Wh-questions, including: What, Where, When, Who, Why, and How. We use Wh-questions when we want to ask for more details. We usually expect other people yo answer us with more information. Let's learn how to use Wh-questions to ask for details:
- What are you doing?
- Where do you live?
- When do we start this?
- Who told you that story?
- Why is she crying?
- How can you explain this problem?
